The Museum Katinamit is located below the Spanish school, offering opportunity to learn about the Pokomchi culture up close. |

In town, places of interest to visit include: Churches, greenhouses, markets, the homes of local artists and craftsmen, cooperatives for drying cardamom and coffee, a marimba factory, a massage-sauna house and many others places. |

San Cristobal, rich in natural beauty, gives our nature-loving students an eyeful! For example, the Pokomchi community of Pamuc gives guided hikes through a nearby cloud forest as a service of their hostel. |

The community of Aquil Grande has preserved an old fashioned Trapiche (sugar cane press) that was used in the past to process sugar cane juice. |
